I think my life would be drastically different if I could pick up a phone and call Heaven. How helpful would it be to call God up on your way home from work and chat? I need Him now and I need a direct line. I need to talk and I need to be talked to. I need Him to answer the phone. I need Him to be more than a testimony, more than Scripture, more than nature, more than miracles. I need Him to be HERE.

The truth of the matter is that you CAN. You can call heaven, and you DO have a direct line :). I don't know how you've felt about/experienced God throughout this difficult season but I wouldn't be your friend if I didn't say that He's right there, more present than ever, and His love has never been greater. I don't know how He'll do it but I pray that your new normal would be characterized by the most powerful, face to face, intimate encounters with the Lord than you've ever had, that He would make His tenderness and lovingkindness SO REAL that it would overshadow every other reality, and that His voice would be clear and pure and loud, like the most refreshing, empowering thing you've ever heard.
I love you so much. I'll be in town this week (Saturday 3/22 to the following Saturday)for Spring break, we should try to get together :). Do you have any free days?
